President’s Letter

Greetings to all Aliceville High School alumni and friends nation-wide.  I’m Tonnie Jones, President of the AHS Alumni Association and a proud 1991 graduate of our great high school.  I greet you on behalf of the Board of Directors and Yellow Jackets everywhere.

Thank you all for a great 2017 Grand Reunion!  As the theme indicated, we all had a wonderful time “Buzzing out the Decade” in true Yellow Jacket form.  Reuniting with classmates from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s and 2010’s was indeed a pleasure. In the midst of the festivities, we gave back over $3,000 via our “Class Challenge” event. We also honored the memory of 37 classmates who passed since the 2017 Grand Reunion.

Remember, the proceeds from the Grand Reunion allow us to execute AHS Alumni’s non-profit mission. First, the association is the planning body for our bi-annual Grand Reunions.  The association also executes a Scholarship Program where deserving high school seniors are awarded scholarship money for college. And finally, the association support Aliceville High School and Aliceville Elementary School with an annual donation.   

I also invite you to browse the newly redone website.  Enjoy looking at the photo gallery of past reunions. Mr. Hickman’s action photos during the reunion weekend always bring smiles. The site also gives you the ability to make a tax-deductible donation, make an early class challenge donation and will be active for on-line reunion payments near the 2021 Grand Reunion event.

Again, we look forward to your feedback and more so, we look forward to seeing you all at the 2021 Grand Reunion.
